On 18 April, Today is Marketing 2018 took place in Madrid. We didn't have to think twice about attending this event dedicated to marketing and management. Here's what happened!
What is Hoy es Marketing?
This annual event, aimed at professionals and executives from the fields of business, marketing, communications and digital economy, is organised by the ESIC Business & Marketing School, a leading business school on the global stage.
The event is currently being staged in 9 cities in Spain (Santiago, Zaragoza, Valencia, Pamplona, Barcelona, Bilbao, Granada, Seville and Madrid) under the slogan: “Rethinking Management. New Economy, New Market, New Business & New Social Models”. The aim is to present successful marketing strategies implemented by large enterprises, and define future business expectations and trends.
More than 2,800 attendees came together in Madrid, while another 2,000 people streamed the event. We were able to attend presentations given by the Managing Directors of Leroy Merlin, BBVA, AS, Fundación ONCE and Llorente and Cuenca.
As an addition this year, the Next Marketing Trends & Skills study was presented. This study was created jointly by ESIC and GFK, Germany's largest research company, and had the participation of more than 25 marketing directors from different multinational companies. Its main objective it is to depict the vision of these companies with respect to the current marketing atmosphere in Spain, the trends over the next few years, and the professional profile necessary to address this new reality.
